한진은 문학, 음악, 현장 조사에서 얻은 영감을 바탕으로 회화와 드로잉을 통해 보이지 않는 상태와 순간적 경험을 포착하며 기억과 시간을 변형한다. 그녀는 몸에 각인된 기억과 감각의 풍경을 ‘말해지지 않는 침묵의 음절’처럼 인식하며, 중첩되고 흩어지는 시간 속에서 변화하는 기억과 시간을 포착한다.

회화는 현실 풍경의 재현을 넘어, 몸과 기억에 남은 이미지가 ‘시간이 무너진 자리’에 자리하도록 하며, 사라지는 흔적이 다른 형태로 전환되는 움직임을 탐구한다. 또한 그녀의 작업은 에릭 사티의 벡사시옹(Vexations) 에서 영향을 받아, 반복과 중단, 우연한 사건이 작품의 일부가 되도록 한다.

한진은 한국예술종합학교에서 수학했으며, 국내외 갤러리 및 대안공간에서 개인전을 개최하고, 경기도미술관, 아트선재센터 등에서 단체전에 참여했다. 작품은 국립현대미술관과 경기도문화재단에 소장되어 있다.

Han Jin draws on literature, music, and field research to capture invisible states and fleeting experiences through painting and drawing, transforming memory and time. She perceives landscapes inscribed on the body and sensations as “unspeakable syllables of silence,” seeking to apprehend memory and time as they shift within layered and dispersed moments.

Her paintings go beyond representing physical landscapes, situating images retained in the body and memory within the “site where time has collapsed,” while exploring how vanishing traces transform into new forms. Her practice is also informed by Erik Satie’s Vexations, in which repetition, interruption, and chance events become integral to the work.

Han Jin studied at Korea National University of Arts and has held solo exhibitions at galleries and alternative spaces both in Korea and abroad, and participated in group exhibitions at institutions including the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art and Art Sonje Center. Her works are held in the collections of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, and the GyeongGi Cultural Foundation, Suwon.
